Mykal Shupe is a junior at Malone University in Canton, Ohio. She is double majoring in Zoo and Wildlife Biology and Environmental Studies. She grew up in a Christian home and her parents always taught her to appreciate the world around her and helped her understand that God was the Creator of everything. Mykal has always been interested in what she could do to help keep the earth the best that it could be, the way that God designed it.
Mykal feels called to connect her faith with her desire to serve her Creator by spreading the word about the human affect on climate change. Her love for animals is also motivation for keeping the planet happy and healthy. She plans on starting a movement on her campus that she hopes will continue long after she graduates.
